“Fried plums? Like donuts, you say? So let’s try it!”
- dried plums – 500 g
- eggs – 2 pcs.
- flour – 150 g
- milk – 100 ml
- powdered sugar – 100 g
- oil 1 / 2l approx
- rum – 100 ml
- salt – pinch
Way of preparation
1. It is best to buy prunes, but if they have pits put them to a boil, then remove the pits. The boiled plums should be cooled.
2. Mix eggs, sugar, salt, rum, flour and milk well, so that it is not a lump, but a smooth mixture for cooking. Put a little plum flour on a separate plate.
Roll cooled plums into flour to better glue to the above mixture. Dip plums in the cooking mixture, spoon them out and place them in the deep oil.
Stack on a paper towel to soak up excess oil.
When the donuts are done, sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
